Ab Rocket Twister: Find the Ratings!

The Ab Rocket Twister abdominal exercise machine has become very popular in recent months. That’s mainly because the company that sells/markets it runs the product infomercial dozens of times a day all over North America, especially in the United States and Canada. I figured I’d create a little guide to useful information, like reviews, for this hot fitness product. I was doing research anyway because I’m thinking about buy one for myself in the near future.

First of all, let’s talk about Ab Rocket Twister prices. The consensus seems to be that, if you do buy one, you should buy it on Amazon and not directly from the company (e.g. through the website or the phone number). Amazon apparently has the best prices with the added benefit of free shipping through their Super Saver shipping promotion. If you go through Amazon expect to pay about $150 right now. I’m sure that price will drop if you wait a few months till the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012.

It’s terms of user reviews for the Ab “Twist” it’s a mixed bad. Some are positive, but many are negative. Apparently the thing is kind of cheaply made. But some reviews say it’s just light but strong, and easy to move and store. One thing that seems clear is that it doesn’t really give you a massage like the commercials say. The back pads/rollers are pretty hard according to several customers. Also, the seat is small and can be uncomfortable. Finally, if you’re very big and/or heavy many reviewers say it’s not a good product for you. So if you’re really fat or just very big-boned this probably isn’t the solution for burning belly fat and getting those six pack abs we all want.

Overall the online Ab Rocket Twister ratings I’ve seen are so so. Currently Amazon has it at 3 stars out of 5 with several highly negative reviews. In fact, come to think of it, I might just hold off and get a Proform Ab Glider or Ab Circle Pro, which are about the same price… or maybe save up my money and get an Abcore machine!

Any VPX Meltdown Reviews?

vpx meltdownAnyone who spends any time in a professional gym or reading fitness and bodybuilding magazines has probably heard of VPX Meltdown. It’s become a very popular supplement in the past year due to its purported fat-burning and mood-boosting effects. It’s a pretty interesting product that contains stuff not found in many other weight loss supplements. It’s also one of the few natural weight loss supplements that really focuses on boosting/improving your mood while it’s also boosting energy levels and speeding up fat burning. I would love to know if VPX Meltdown really works so please leave your reviews and opinions in the “comments” area at the bottom of this post.

Most of the reviews I’ve read online and heard in the gym mention that Meltdown is without a doubt a powerful energy booster. In fact some people report that it’s almost too strong, especially for people who don’t regularly take energy supplements, drink coffee, or otherwise use lots of caffeine. People also say that you should “cycle” your intake (off weeks/on weeks) and definitely only use it only if you’re doing a lot of exercise. If not you may have problems sleeping.

There are a few good Meltdown reviews online but many of the ones I’ve found on the bodybuilding and fitness forms sound overly promotional. That always makes me think that they’re fake or at least very biased. 5 Simple Ways to Boost Your Health Fast

Want to feel better, boost your energy, and improve your overall health fast? Then follow these 5 simple steps:

1. Get enough sleep. Most people need at least 7 or 8 hours of quality sleep in order to feel good and have optimal health.

2. Drink enough water. Drink at least 60-70 ounces of water per day. You’ll feel much better and your body will be able to cleanse and “detoxify” itself more efficiently.

3. Avoid refined sugars and flours. Avoid processed, refined, “white” sugars and flours at all costs. You’ll have more stable blood sugar, insulin, and energy levels. You’ll stop gaining weight and probably start losing body fat. And you’ll avoid LOTS of serious health problems in the future.

4. Do some light exercise every morning. Do 10 – 30 minutes of light exercise first thing every morning, preferably outdoors in order to get some sunlight exposure. This is great for jump starting your energy for the rest of the day. And just a small amount of exercise can greatly improve your health and fitness levels!

5. Eat quality foods. Don’t worry about “dieting”… just eat plenty of quality foods. These are mainly lean proteins, healthy fats, and good carbohydrates. Focus your meals around meat or other quality protein, vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, and raw fruit.

The Ab Circle Pro: Does This Thing Even Work?

ab-circle-proIt seems like everywhere I look I see an ad for this “Ab Circle Pro” machine. It’s on my television… especially late at night. It’s in my magazines. It’s on 75% of the websites I visit… or at least its advertisements are. I’ve probably seen the infomercial for this thing 10 times.

It looks cool and possibly even effective for toning the abs. But there’s no way it’s going to help anyone burn a lot of fat all by itself. Maybe I’m totally wrong but I just don’t see how something like this could burn a significant amount of calories. The handful of reviews I’ve read online and offline seem to describe a decent machine with a good idea behind it but bad execution. Apparently it works great for a few weeks and then about half of them begin to fall apart, mainly due to cheap plastic components.

I doubt I’ll ever get around to buying it but I’d love to know: does the Ab Circle Pro really work? With all that advertising there must be thousands if not millions of customers out there. A Really Simple Way to Get Fit Fast

Want to get really fit fast? Here’s a very simple, straightforward way to shed extra body fat, tone and strengthen muscles, change your body, and get super fit in a matter of weeks…

1. Eat a super-clean diet. Eat only natural, healthy, unprocessed foods. Mainly meats/fish, eggs, vegetables/fruits, nuts/seeds, beans, and small amounts of natural oil (like coconut oil and olive oil). Avoid nearly all processed foods and limit the amount of starchy carbs you take in (potatoes, rice, wheat, corn, etc.).

2. Do a short, hard workout 3-4 times a week. Do about 30 minutes of intense exercise 3 to 4 times per week, preferably involving both strength training and cardio exercise. Other day, simply walk for 10-20 minutes first thing in the morning.

3. Take the best supplements: whey protein, multivitamins, omega 3 fats (e.g. fish or krill oil), extra vitamin C, and possibly a healthy energy supplement, such as one based around green tea.

There you go: a very simple and effective way to burn off your extra fat and get fit very fast. These things do work so give ’em a try as soon as you can!

How to Lose 3 Pounds in 10 Days

Lot’s of people want to know how to lose 10 pounds in 3 days. Well, the truth of the matter is that that’s probably not gonna happen… at least not the way your want it to. Sure you could starve yourself and try to sweat off 10 lbs that quickly, but at least 90% of the weight will be from lost water and glycogen stored in your muscles… not fat. You will lose some muscle tissue and possibly even mess up your metabolism.

A much more realistic goal is to lose 3 pounds in 10 days. If you do it the right way, almost all of that will be from fat loss. Follow the healthy weight loss tips below and you could easily burn off pounds of ugly and stubborn fat while making yourself look a whole lot sexier!

Cut the Starch and Sugar: If you do nothing else but cut out simple sugars and starchy carbohydrates out of your diet you could easily lose weight quickly. Give it a try for 10 days and see for yourself.

Eat Like This: Eat 6 small meals per day. Each meal should contain lean protein, a non-starch carb (preferably veggies, fruit, or beans), and a small amount of healthy fat (natural peanut butter, olive oil, avocado, etc.). This simple eating plan is probably the best diet for losing pounds quickly.

Do Smart Exercise: Exercise at least 5 or 6 days a week. Do some form of weight lifting at least 3 days a week. This will burn lots of calories, reduce fat, tone your muscle, and help you look and feel better. Also do steady-state or interval cardio (like HIIT) a few times a week to speed up fat burning.

Next time you want to lose some weight fast, be realistic. Losing 10 pounds in 3 days is something few people are going to be able to do successfully and in a healthy way. Instead focus on a realistic goal like 3 lbs in ten days and follow the tips laid out above.
